I'm hosting a free creative tech conference
I need your help to figure out where
It'll be fun
We're hosting a free, two-day creative tech conference and bringing creators, builders and founders together in one room. Help us decide where to host it.

context-con is a creative tech conference for people who build on the internet. Content, products, companies. Attending costs nothing. Sponsors pay for all of it.
You pick the city.
Meet the people building the same things you are.
A few thousand people who make things.

A sharper idea of what to make next.
Two days. Keynotes, panels, booths, workshops. Night.
Announced once the city is.
One conversation with someone two years ahead of you is worth a year of tutorials. That's the whole idea. Put the densest room of talent we can find in one place, and let the right context do the work.

I've been hosting meetups all over the world, and they've been the highlight of my career. Every one of them came together on 24 to 48 hours' notice, and every time the room was full of people who wanted to build something.
At some point I asked myself: what if I actually hosted a real conference, and brought like-minded people together who want to build together? That's how context came about.
It's a two-day event, free for attendees. I'll bring everyone in my network to the table, and obviously you. But I need your help to make it work. Vote for the location, and we'll host it there.
Thank you all.
Yes. There is no ticket. Partners fund the venue, the stage, the food and the credits you leave with. The only thing you pay for is getting there.
Wherever wins the vote. Voting runs until 1 November. The day after, we announce the city, lock a venue, and start building the program around the people who voted there.
Two days, most likely in December, in the winning city. Exact dates follow the venue. Everyone who voted gets the dates by email the moment they're set.
Keynotes in the morning, panels and workshops in the afternoon, booths where you try the tools with the people who built them, and a night that is not optional. Small rooms where it matters, one big room where it counts.
People who make things on the internet. Creators building audiences, the videographers, designers, motion artists and engineers they hire, founders turning both into companies, and the teams behind the AI tools everyone uses.
A few thousand at most. We'd rather have a dense room than a big one. If demand outruns the venue, voters in the winning city and early voters elsewhere get first access.
Information is everywhere. Context is knowing what to do with it, and that usually comes from a person, not a page. The whole event is built to put you next to the right people.
Your city moves up the board, you get a page at context-con.com/you, and you're on the list for the city announcement, registration and the program. Share your city's page to pull more votes in.
Yes, anytime until 1 November, from your profile. Only your current vote counts, so no city gets double-counted.
A sharper idea of what to make next, a list of people to make it with, saved on your profile with a note of where you met, and free credits and accounts from our partners' tools.
Please do. Every person votes and registers individually so everyone gets their own page and their own credits.
Create your profile, then apply from the Events tab. Tell us what you did, what broke, and what you'd do now. No product pitches on stage. Speakers are announced once the city is.
Partners make the event free for everyone else, so we take a handful and we're picky. Create your profile, then apply from the Events tab. You'll get a reply from a human.
Yes, wherever it ends up.
